Tired of Triangle meetup groups focusing mainly on Raleigh, Cary, and other locations? This meetup will be Durham-centric. A variety of activities is envisioned, such as gathering for coffee and discussion, attending festivals and cultural events, visiting local museums, galleries and parks, going to plays and music performances, or whatever else comes to mind. Meetings should be quite casual. Members are welcome to send ideas and suggestions for activities. Most activities are FREE or cheap!

… Our cultural events range from visiting museums, to attending the theatre, to taking painting classes, to whatever else we can think of to do. Some of our activities allow us to try something new or just do something together. In May there will be a historical self guided tour with docents along the way at a cemetery and a walk at the North Carolina Art Museum. Our group supports the Friends of African & African American Art (FAAAA) which is an affiliate group of the North Carolina Museum of Art.  The goal of FAAAA is to enrich and enhance the Museum's collection of African art and African American art.  They also provide educational programming, organize social events and raise funds to secure acquisitions for the NCMA collection.
